Definition of Resources, Activities and Cost Objects
In addition to the CAM-I standard view, the exclusive "One-Page Visual Brief" does model validation
by presenting a detailed summary of the model size and structure and confirms whether or not the Resources
balance with the Cost Objects.
Model Hierarchy
Lets large models to be displayed through grouping of items, facilitates the analysis of details
with "drill-downs" through the model's structure. Modules can be built with a multidimensional structure,
non-multidimensional structure or a combination of these two methods.
Multidimensional Tool
MyABCM has a multidimensional structure but does not require users to work this way exclusively. In many
situations and depending on the conceptual model it is necessary to create multidimensional or
non-multidimensional models. With MyABCM, users are free to choose the style of modeling that best suits
the need.
Assignments
Provides a simple assignment of cost flow and the management of large models by creating multiple assignments
simultaneously, using a simple selection of various source and destination items. Presents a visual
representation of the relationships map, which allows the exclusion of assignments on a one-by-one basis
by using point and click or the exclusion of all previously created assignments, by using the undo command.
Allows copying of all assignments to another source item or even to the entire source center through drag and
drop operation, which increases productivity in model maintenance.
Intra-Modular Assignment
Benefit managers by offering a clearer understanding of the process cost based on the expenses of their own
cost center and includes the demand of activities made from other departments. The model allows assignments to
be made within the same Activity module. It also allows Transfer Pricing and SLA analysis through easy
visualization of Direct Costs versus Received Costs (from other departments). The model similarly allows
Resources to Resources assignment, making the modeling process easier through separation or grouping of
previous costs. Likewise, Cost objects may also be assigned to other Cost Objects by adding more dimensions
to the cost model analysis.
Reciprocal assignment
In many modeling situations there is a need for a particular type of assignment called a reciprocal assignment.
This means that an item called "A" assigns cost to "B" and "C" and item "B" assigns cost to "A" and to "C".
Note that between the items "A" and "B" there can be multiple cost assignments. MyABCM calculation algorithm
fully supports this function.
Drivers
MyABCM is the only solution in the marketplace to use Step-Fixed Cost drivers with options to customize these
drivers to every specific situation. MyABCM also uses Fixed, Weighted, Calculated and Variable drivers, all of
which may have predefined properties for Activity Based Planning and Activity Based Budgeting (ABB/P).
Attributes
Improves the cost analysis by sorting and grouping of items with text attributes and integrates any additional
numeric information required by the user with numeric attributes .
Profitability Analysis
Precisely identifies profit and loss and specifies the "who, when, where and how" describing how the profit or
loss is happening. Identifies the contribution costs of activities and incorporates the income produced on any
dimension combinations, such as Products, Services, Clients, Channels, Regions, Agencies or any other required
dimension.
Scenarios Building
Simulates the operational viability of proposed business changes before they are actually implemented by the
organization. What-if Analysis updates elements in Resources and Activities and shows the impact of the
simulation through the whole model. Scenarios may also include changes in Cost Objects volumes and will show
the impact on the organization, including fixed, variable and step-fixed costs, bottlenecks and broken
constraints.
Capacity Analysis
Highlights potential efficiency improvements in processes by analyzing the idle capacity. MyABCM can assign
these capacity costs to the same destination items in equal parts, or proportionally assign the costs based
on the current driver quantity. MyABCM may also let the user assign the idle capacity to a discrete item,
("Corporate Idle Capacity" for example) so it is possible to identify the idle capacity of the whole process
and measure the costs accordingly.
Push-Pull Simulations
Within MyABCM, a wide variety of what-if analysis and scenario simulations can be performed,
anticipating situations and preparing the organization for changes before they actually occur.
Report Designer
Creates feature rich, custom designed reports to meet the organization's reporting requirements.
Dashboards
Dashboard component, with its indicators and gauge functions for each component of the ABC/M model, makes it
easy to perform advanced analysis and to quickly identify cost and profitability distortions in the cost model.
OLAP Component
Powerful Olap tool natively linked to the MyABCM model allows a graphic analysis on any ABC/M model component through the dynamic table format, including drag and drop functions, grouping, exceptions and a variety of graphic views.
Traceability and Model Auditing
Graphically create a traceability view to easily identify direct and received costs, and perform model auditing.
