HMUE was opened in 2006 in northern Brazil. The hospital covers a 17.700m² area (about 190,000 sq feet). It's a health referral unit for trauma and burn events, from average to high complexity and has a sophisticated Image Diagnosis Center, with the latest generation equipment. HMUE is a public hospital providing humane quality care to patients. HMUE strives for the highest level of excellence in the services provided to the population.
Improve the Cost Management in the institution and give visibility to the real cost of services provided by the hospital. In February 2007, HMUE started the project using spreadsheets and the first reports were generated in April same year. As the cost model increased in size and sophistication, it became impossible to continue to maintain the spreadsheets. MyABCM was acquired to meet the need for customization, to improve the procedures and to generate better results for the hospital.
