Founded in 1891, IOSP's mission is to provide transparency and be the information arm of the Sao Paulo Government through the State Official Newspaper. Currently with over a thousand employees, IOSP has seen many changes during its history: from a single graphic sheet to a full publication; ISOP now acts as a news agency, providing official information about the State of Sao Paulo to other media and has as a chief responsibility, conferred by the State Government, to be the Digital Certification Authority.

The company's growth and the increasing complexity of their processes created the challenge of improving cost management, expenses and outcome control, demanding an alternative solution to the current absorption accounting.

The company decided to develop a hybrid model, combining the aspects of an ABC model with the fixed and variable cost patterns. This model offers managerial insights through the use of several calculation dimensions with all the details necessary to improve decision-making. The software MyABCM enabled an effective implementation of this model and meets future development needs, covering all activities of the company, its products, types of customers, sales channels and types of sales.

The first model version has already been approved and the second version is in rapid development, with significant user input. The management reports are produced in less time and with a unified source of information, ensuring a better accuracy and increased agility. The software also allows complex analysis through scenarios and simulations, deepening the strategic discussions of the company.
