Carrefour card was first launched about 20 years ago, to offer customers credit and financial options related to
their purchases.
In May 2007 the Carrefour Group has consolidated its financial institution and now offers new products and
services to its over 7 million customers with the Carrefour Card. With a huge presence in Brazil, Carrefour's
objective is to be the preferred choice in offering financial products to the Carrefour customers.
Project emerged from the management requirement to have a new view of cost analysis, essentially adopting a new methodology distinct from the traditional record of expenses in the GL and cost centers.
In mid-2008, MyABCM was selected as a complement to a cost management solution developed by Carrefour
Financial Solutions.
We evaluated all the solutions available in the market and MyABCM met the expectations from the technical
and business standpoints. During the implementation.
MyABCM provided high-quality technical support, allowing us to finish the project on time.
Currently we have 2 major processes completely mapped (Maintain Clients and Obtain Clients).
Beyond the tangible returns already achieved, such as a whole process view rather than the traditional cost
centers view, we also identified significant accounting adjustments resulting from a parallel project to review
finance and management processes.
The gains realized with process mapping were significant even in the first year, mainly in the decision making
support resulting in a cultural mindset change, where each department is now responsible for its own process.
